The
Libertarian Party believes in individual liberty and personal
responsibility. We believe that governments at all levels are too big,
too intrusive, and too expensive. We are working to reduce government to
its proper constitutional role: to protect the rights of the people, and
otherwise leave us alone.
Group
Attendance at Henrico Board of Supervisors
Issues come before the Henrico County Board of
Supervisors that beg for comment by those who are interested in
freedom. Indeed, very often, it is at the local level where most of our
freedoms are threatened!
When these issues come up, wouldn’t it be
great to attend and speak as part of a group of fellow freedom lovers?
If this interests you, please make sure
you’re on our list to receive notices of our group attendance at these
county government meetings. Again, go to:

Patrick Henry Supper Club
The Patrick Henry Supper Club occurs on the
first Tuesday of every month, and is a social gathering for Libertarians
and inquisitive nonlibertarians in the Richmond metro area. As it
happens, the group meets in Henrico County, and has done so since January
of 2000!
Though it is in Henrico, People from
Richmond, Chesterfield, Colonial Heights, Petersburg, Hopewell, Hanover,
and Goochland, and a few other localities in the area, are also among
those regularly attending the Club.
The PHSC brings a speaker or a selected topic
to each meeting, exploring various issues on the minds of many. While no
admission is required, we do ask for donations to help keep mail going
out and to make sure our speakers are comfortable.
For the complete schedule of upcoming PHSC
meetings, please check
the LPVA Calendar frequently. You can also subscribe to the Richmond-Announce mailing
list, which sends out email reminders of PHSC events (reminders
uauslly go out about three days in advance).
